Manila, Philippines — October 31, 2025 — TIES (The International Ecotourism Society) Philippines Inc., recently met with AIESEC students from Ateneo de Manila University and learned more about their Incoming Global Volunteer Program. This cross-cultural initiative empowers young leaders aged 18–30 to make a meaningful difference by addressing social and environmental challenges aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
During the encounter, TIES representatives heard about the exciting volunteer projects, which typically last 6–8 weeks and tackle pressing issues such as education, environmental conservation, youth development, and community engagement. The team was inspired by the innovative approaches AIESEC students employ to create positive social impact while fostering leadership, cultural awareness, and global collaboration among participants.
TIES expressed admiration for the dedication and energy of AIESEC students, noting how the program provides young volunteers with a unique opportunity to develop professional skills, broaden their perspectives, and engage with communities both locally and internationally. “We were truly inspired by the stories of impact and the passion that drives these young leaders. Programs like this are instrumental in shaping the next generation of changemakers,” said a TIES representative.
The encounter also opened discussions on potential ways TIES and AIESEC could support each other’s initiatives in the future, promoting sustainable development and youth empowerment across the Philippines. TIES looks forward to exploring collaborations that create meaningful opportunities for young leaders while advancing social and environmental causes.
