November 18, 2025 – The Birmingham and West Midlands Convention Bureau and The International Ecotourism Society Philippines (TIESPHI) took a significant step towards a greener future for tourism today, as Linda Best, Strategic Lead for Events and Business Tourism, led a discussion focused on potential collaborations to enhance sustainable ecotourism within the sector. The central question guiding the conversation: How can the two organizations partner to safeguard the environment while fostering responsible ecotourism practices?
The meeting underscored a shared commitment to aligning the Birmingham and West Midlands Convention Bureau’s sustainability goals with TIESPHI’s expertise in promoting environmentally conscious ecotourism practices. Ms. Best emphasized the region’s dedication to minimizing its environmental footprint and its eagerness to learn from TIESPHI’s successful initiatives around the globe.
